Originally from the English countryside, where she grew up in a creative and crafting family, Kate Gallimore began her career in London as an editor and book designer working on art, architecture and interiors titles. After moving to New York City she retrained as an interior designer at the New York School of Interior Design and worked in some of America’s top interior design firms managing high-end residential projects in New York, Palm Beach, the Hamptons, Nantucket, London and Gstaad, Switzerland.

After fifteen years in the United States Kate returned to England with her young family where she set up her own interior design company. Kate is currently involved in projects on both sides of the Atlantic, including, with her French husband, a specialist in decorative paint finishes for interiors, the restoration of her own home, a former parsonage in Cambridgeshire. Her connections with artisans and craftspeople close to home and across the globe give her access to unique resources for any number of bespoke interior design projects.

Kate Gallimore offers a range of design and decoration services tailored to her clients’ individual needs – as simple or as involved as they choose. From helping to select the perfect accessory to advice on how to organize a space more effectively; from individual upholstery work and window treatments to full-service design, renovation and installation Kate provides a friendly and personal service carried out with calm efficiency.

To discuss your own interior design needs – however great or small – please contact Kate and she will be happy to chat with you.
